Invite A Friend To Try Richard Garriott's Tabula Rasa®
Receive a FREE Month Credit* to your Tabula Rasa® account when you recruit a friend into Tabula Rasa. Enter the required information and click the Invite a Friend button below to e-mail a free 3-day trial serial code to a friend. Should your friend buy a standard account and pay for one month of subscription to Tabula Rasa®, you will be automatically credited with one month of free game time!
How does it work?
1. E-mail your friend a 3-day trial serial code by entering the requested information and clicking the Invite a Friend button below.
2. When your friend activates the trial account to a full retail account by buying a retail box or buying a direct digital download and then pays for their first month of subscription (excluding any periods of play included with the product purchase), you will have one month of free game time credited to your Tabula Rasa® account.
3. You can have a maximum of 4 invites 'live' at any one time. As soon as one of your friends converts to a standard account, we'll give you another one to send to someone else. If your first batch of four invites is successful with all four friends converting to a standard account and each buying one month of subscription (excluding any periods of play included with the product purchase), you'll get four months of Tabula Rasa® for free! Recruit more friends for more free game time!
4. You will only receive your free game time if your friend converts to a paid subscription within two months of the invitation being sent. Be sure to remind them to activate their account before time runs out!
5. You can see the status of each invite you send at the bottom of this page.
Important Note: This is a Tabula Rasa® (US) trial serial code, so it will need to be activated with a US retail serial code.

o-o-okay, now that i've stopped yelling and cursing . . .
it is very apparent this is my first fps game - using the mmo style wasn't useful.
oh . . . first things first. Name is Sugre Flambe and working my way through boot camp. Can't get past walk mode. AH! Hold down mouse one to keep shooting! have not figured how to get out of mouse look to click on other things.
i'm sure my max noobness would make many laugh if i dared get past the first objective. :p

It does get easier . To get off mouse look I usually open a dialog box.Found it easiest(loke L key for your quest log). I've been on trial for WoW this week and at least most of your keybindings will be the same.Seems TR stole most of theirs from WoW.I'll try and catch you online tomorrow. I have a couple L5 toons floating around the starting area.-Kil

We gave TR a go; Dave liked it better than me - his problem that somethings could have been done better and that I had so much trouble with it. Depressing to think WoW is for people like me: no thumbs or patience. EnB was my first ever game of any sort; fps were something Dave did, so I'm a total noob. Three days was barely enough time to warm up to it. Dave did get to lvl 5 though. They have a 10 day or 2 week trial up I'm willing to try again.

I can understand that having no fps experience TR may be daunting.I've been playing the latest UT demo and realize how fast they are compared to MMOs.Glad you gave it a try.Hooefully they run a longer promo so you can get a real feel for it.-Kil

Well well, look who we've got all together in this topic..., some of the finest members of BM's Earth and Beyond
Very good to hear something from you guys again, after the yahoo board turned into a mess with all the spam and such.
I myself tried many games after the shut down of E&B, to name a few out of the top of my head; Lineage II, WoW, City of Heroes, Ryzom, Flyff and Eve Online. Lineage II is a NCSOFT game while TR just has NCSOFT as their publisher. From all games i liked Lineage II the most and if it wasn't to the asian grind and huge exp losses i might have stayed. So i'm curious about TR for sure, since NCSOFT decided to give their support to it and feel like i should give it a try. I just hope my pc can handle the game's graphics...
Also, nostalgic as i am, i haven't lost my desire of returning to E&B one day. Meaning, i'm keeping my eyes on the work of the E&B Emulator that's been in the works for a while now. According to this post and their last release of the emulator (which is kinda cool already), a public beta wouldn't be that far off anymore : "We're also not far off opening a public beta server, but we want a little bit more stability, content and features before that goes ahead". For more info >> http://forum.enb-emulator.com/index.php?showtopic=3520
Next to that, a page with the old client and some nice E&B links, including one for video's and music of the game : http://forum.enb-emulator.com/index.php?showtopic=2660&hl=links
If you like to try the emulator, you obviously need that client and the client update which can be found on the site under "Downloads > Client".
So one day, we can hopefully meet each other again in Earth and Beyond Yes, i dare to hope
But first, i wanna try this Tabule Rasa game, meet up my old buddies and see if it's something for me So if anyone can gimme a code for a 3 day trial of some sort, i would be thrilled ^^
Ballistic Mystix 4ever!
